Cutting End Type
The cutting end type is checked only for enzymes that
cut within or next to their recognition sequences and whose cleavage sites
are marked in Rebase.
Those enzymes that cut outside their
recognition sequences, such as DraRI CAAGNAC(20/18),
are excluded.
Usually it makes sense to specify the end type only if you want
to use or list all the (commercially available) enzymes in the database.
Example enzymes with 5' overhang ends:
AbaI T^GATCA
AccB1I G^GYRCC
AeuI CC^WGG
AjnI ^CCWGG
AspBHII RG^GWCCY
Example enzymes with 3' overhang ends:
BfuAII GCATG^C
HpyCH4I CATG^
HpyCH4III ACN^GT
HpyF10VI GCNNNNN^NNGC
Kaz48kI RGGNC^CY
Example enzymes with blunt ends:
FalII CG^CG
MluB2I TCG^CGA
MslI CAYNN^NNRTG
MspA1I CMG^CKG
